Description
A Halloween Night of Gin, Piano & Dark Music The ticket includes three gin and tonics and snacks. No additional payment is needed for the drinks and snacks served as part of the experience. This Halloween, the Sound of concert series returns with a darker, bloodier, and rather intoxicating edition: Sound of the Bloody Gins . On 31 October, at 19:00, Heldeke Bottle Shop becomes the setting for an unusual musical and tasting experience, where three distinctive gins meet three haunting masterpieces of classical music, performed live on piano by composer and pianist Arashk Azizi . The evening unfolds in three stages, each featuring a different gin and tonic accompanied by a live piano performance. Rather than simply performing the original compositions, Arashk will develop and improvise upon their themes, transforming familiar melodies into atmospheric musical journeys inspired by the character, colour, and flavour of each gin. Three Gins. Three Musical Hauntings. 🟠 Blood Orange — Camille Saint-Saëns: Danse Macabre We begin with Scapegrace Blood Orange Gin, paired with Saint-Saëns' legendary Danse Macabre . A mischievous dance of skeletons and spirits opens the evening, as the piano brings the graveyard to life. 🔴 Bloody Shiraz — Igor Stravinsky: The Rite of Spring As the drinks turn blood-red, the music becomes darker and more primal. Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin accompanies themes from Stravinsky's revolutionary The Rite of Spring , reimagined through dramatic improvisations full of ritual, tension, and ancient mystery. ⚫ Black Gin — Franz Liszt: Totentanz The final glass is Scapegrace Black Gin, accompanied by Liszt's terrifying Totentanz (Dance of Death). Built upon the medieval Dies Irae theme, the music takes us into the darkest chapter of the evening, where death itself joins the dance. This is more than a piano concert or a gin tasting. It is an intimate Halloween experience in which music, flavour, and imagination come together to tell three dark stories. Come for the gin, stay for the music, and let the spirits take over. Halloween costumes are optional, but highly encouraged.
